#PangaTrailer: The After-Marriage Journey of a National-Level Kabaddi Champ

This is the era of movies that are based on female protagonists. And Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming flick is the same. Here we are talking about Kangana Ranaut’s highly-awaited sports drama, Panga, whose trailer hit the internet yesterday only and impressed everyone in just no time. Yes, Nil Battey Sannata and Bareilly Ki Barfi director, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's Panga is getting praised by many.

The 3-minute-4-second video clip revolves around the story of Jaya, her world, and the obstacles that come her way while living her ambitions. The girl Jaya Nigam, played by Manikarnika fame actor Kangana, used to be a national-level kabaddi champion before marriage and dropped it after marriage and son. But even after marriage, her dreams and aspirations are the same, and she still wants to play the sport with the same dedication. And, the movie revolves around how she tries to clear all the obstacles to make a comeback.

The trailer of the flick also raises one important question on women empowerment and also thinks about the concept of motherhood that the society would have us believe. Yagya Bhasin, Child artiste, is playing the role of Jaya and Prashant's adorable son Adi, who observes everything and has an opinion about everything, even about her mother's comeback as a Kabaddi player after several years.

The son of Jaya asks,

“Toh kya 32 mein comeback nai hota?”

And he makes us wonder if women being a mother ought to give up her dreams to a familial life alone.

Actor and Popular singer Jassie Gill is also in the movie, playing the role of Jaya’s husband, Prashant. After Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, starring Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role,  this is Gill’s second Bollywood film. Moreover, Neena Gupta is also in the movie and plays the role of Jaya's mother, and Richa Chadha is also seen as her friend, Meenu.

Further, in the trailer, it showed how Jaya, who enjoyed the reputation of being a Kabaddi champion once, hits meets a team of Kabaddi players at a railway station, but they fail to recognize her as a former champion.

And, this moment prompts her to re-think about making a comeback in the sport again. And further, the movie trailer shows how with help from a supportive husband, who encourages her throughout and manages the household himself, Jaya struggles to make it to Team India. Moreover, Neena Gupta, who gets teary-eyed with her daughter's success, plays Jaya's nagging mother and keeps telling her that she doesn’t support her for the sport anymore.

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari earlier posted,

“My existing reality is a reflection of my dear ones’ belief in me. From the team backed by its families. Presenting #PANGA with #KanganaRanaut, @jassi1gill @Neenagupta001. Produced by @foxstarhindi  | In Cinemas | 2019 😀”
