#PatiPatniAurWohTrailer Seems to Be a Fun Ride, Watch Now!

Since the day Kartik Aaryan introduced ‘Chintu Tyagi’ on his social media, almost everyone is waiting for the film Pati Patni or Woh on the big screen. And, guess what, the wait is almost over. Because the makers finally revealed the trailer to see until the movie release. As expected, the trailer seems winner and looks very promising.

The flick is Mudassar Aziz’s directorial venture and is a remake of the 1978-hit of the same name, starring Sanjeev Kumar, Ranjeeta Kaur, and Vidya Sinha. Both the new and the original one is presented by BR Chopra Films. But, both are not so similar as this one is entirely Mudassar Aziz's reinterpretation, and hence, gives one the scope to be objective, leaving bouts of nostalgia behind.

According to the posters and trailer, it could be said that the names of the leads have been changed. Kartik is Chintu Tyagi who is reprising the role of Sanjeev Kumar (Ranjeet Chadha), Ananya is Tapasya Sharma, playing the Woh, originally essayed by Ranjeeta (Nirmala), and Bhumi is Vedika, playing the Patni, originally essayed by Vidya (Sharda).

The 2-minute-43-second trailer video showcases the story and its little surprises. Well, maybe the plot is quite obvious because of the name that the happily married couple hit a roadblock when a third woman comes into life. The video describes that  Chintu is married to Bhumi Pednekar but seems bored with the relationship plus wants more from his sexual life. And suddenly, Chintu finds himself fantasizing about a new joiner at his office, Tapasya. And, this feeling of him made him hide his marital status. Eventually, it gives rise to some rather hilarious moments for the audience to enjoy as the mess doesn't end well for Chintu.

Apart from all three lead actors, the film also features Aparshakti Khurrana in a prominent role, but he doesn’t seem to have gone beyond the obvious.

If we talk about the performances in the flick, Kartik is much like his first outing in Pyaar Ka Punchnama, delivering monologues yet again, something that helped him arrive in Bollywood. This time, as the hero's best friend, Aparshakti Khurana, plays his audience. And, no wonder Kartik has so much practice that he doesn't disappoint.

Whereas, Bhumi as Vedika is a stark contrast from her recently released film, Saand Ki Aankh, and is looking so fresh in her ‘Patni’ character.

On the other hand, Ananya Panday has an excellent screen presence in her second film post, Student Of The Year 2.

Besides all, the trailer gives a hint to two movie songs: first, Dheeme Dheeme, a version of Tony Kakkar, which is a dance number for Kartik and Ananya to groove to. And, the other one is a remix from Govinda and Raveena Tandon Thadani's Dulhe Raja (1998), Ankhiyon Se Goli Mare with 'it's our boy, Badshah.’

Talking about the film, director Mudassar Aziz said,

"It was amazing to direct this talented bunch of actors like Kartik, Bhumi & Ananya. They are so perfect with their craft and that made it easy for me. We have tried to live up to the expectations and I hope the audiences love our film. We have put in our hard work and we hope it pays off well."

Despite predictable jokes, the film promises to be a fun ride, and let's hope it delivers the same on December 6, 2019. Till then, watch the trailer here:
