War was released in three languages - Telugu, Hindi, and English on Gandhi Jayanti holiday (October 2) across over 3,800 screens. Moreover, in South India, War's box office collection took a hit due to competition from Chiranjeevi's period drama 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.'

Adarsh added,

“#War sets the BO on 🔥🔥🔥, despite...

⭐️ Multiple #Bengali films released simultaneously in #Bengal due to festive period
⭐️ #Hollywood biggie #Joker taking away a chunk of screens/shows at major metros”

He added,

“#War creates H-I-S-T-O-R-Y... Sets new benchmarks for #Hindi films... Big holiday [#GandhiJayanti] + unprecedented hype results in mind boggling Day 1 total... Crosses the previous best - #ThugsOfHindostan - by a margin, despite lower screen count.”

While comparing to other 2019 movies’ collections, he wrote,

“Top 5 Day 1 biz... 2019 releases...War ₹ 53.35cr [Wed]Bharat ₹ 42.30 cr [Wed]MissionMangal ₹ 29.16 cr [Thu]Saaho [#Hindi] ₹ 24.40 cr [Fri]Kalank ₹ 21.60 cr [Wed]

The movie has style, swag, and sass in excess and comes peppered with jaw-dropping series of twists, car-and-bike chases, and high-octane action scenes.

War, the movie helmed by Siddharth Anand, is an espionage thriller that serves you with just the right amount of humor, action and tops it with extremely good-looking people. And, the best part of the movie is the story with two bonafide action stars fighting it out on the big screen.

The flick opens with Hrithik Roshan playing Kabir, a rogue agent, killing Indian officials. Well,  how he met Khalid (Tiger Shroff) who went on to join his unit in an intelligence agency is established through a flashback sequence. While Khalid, who has always worshipped Kabir as his mentor, is assigned the task of finding and arresting him, the story takes an interesting turn. Next, it can be seen how Khalid is curious to know about how and why Kabir became a rogue. And, another flashback sequence reveals his reasons, post-intermission.

While reviewing the movie, Taran Adarsh wrote,

“#OneWordReview...War: BLOCKBUSTER.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Escapist cinema at its best... Aces: Hrithik and Tiger’s power-packed act and chemistry + dazzling action pieces + stunning visual appeal + ample thrills, twists, suspense... Dear BO, get ready for the typhoon. #WarReview”

The film also features Vaani Kapoor, but she does not appear until the interval and is seen for only a few scenes and a song Ghungroo.

War, the high-octane action-drama film is worth a watch for the sheer joy of seeing this dream pair of Hrithik and Tiger on the silver screen. So, watch it at least once for sure!
