Boney Kapoor also took to Twitter to announce the unveiling of the statue. He tweeted,

“Sridevi lives forever in not just our hearts but also in the hearts of millions of her fans. Eagerly waiting to watch the unveiling of her figure at Madam Tussauds, Singapore on September 4, 2019. #SrideviLivesForever”

The statue showcases the replica of Sridevi’s look in the hit retro song, Hawa Hawai from the film Mr. India, an ‘80s film.

Needless to say that the actress has been immortalized for her fans in the form of a wax statue.

A gold-colored costume donned by the actress for the now-iconic song is one of her most fashionable avatars ever.

While unveiling the statue and posing for the pictures, the family of the late legendary actress, Mr. Boney Kapoor, Jhanvi Kapoor, and Khushi Kapoor seemed very emotional.

Before this honor, at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, Sridevi was also honored with the TITAN Reginald F Lewis Film Icon Award.

Sridevi, best known for movies like Chandni, ChaalBaaz, Lamhe, Gumrah, Judaai, Mr. India, and Himmatwala, was last seen in the SRK starrer Zero in 2018. However,  Mom (2017) was her last full-fledged big-screen release.

Sridevi passed away on 24th February 2018 at the age of 54 in Dubai.
